Trade Battle Re-Escalates Between US and China
The US Trade Representative announced that China hasn’t done anything about unfair business practices.
The US government said that China has not changed its “unfair” trade practices at the center of the US-China trade dispute.
Therefore this statement boosted the tension ahead of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping. Trump and Xi will meet at the end of the G20 leaders’ summit in Buenos Aires.
US Trade Representative (USTR) will mention from China’s property and technology transfer policies.
Previously, within the scope of this investigation, US had imposed customs duty on the $ 50 billion product imported from China, and then reached $ 250 billion. However, Chine didn’t any respond constructively against US.
US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer said, “We have completed this update within the scope of enhanced monitoring and implementation efforts of the government.
Also R. Lighthizer continued to talk about the update. He said that China haven’t any respond to the first Section 301 reports “constructive” and that the United States could not take any concrete action to address its concerns.
The USTR has said that China continues its policy and implementation of supporting and promoting cyber-effective theft of US intellectual property rights and continues to discriminate on discriminatory technology licensing.
“Let the United States read our response as detailed”
China’s foreign ministry spokesman, Geng Shuang, said in an official report published by China in September that the United States had provided a detailed response to its complaints. At the informational meeting in Beijing, Shuang said, “I would recommend the US to read in detail,”.
